As the representative of a younger generation of painters, Zurich-based artist David Chieppo deals almost exclusively with figuration, and experiments with bringing it to life in material form.His work fascinates thanks to the divergence between complex meaning and immediate impact. In an apparently naive, often direct way, Chieppo outlines human relationships and, at the same time, reflects social and political themes.Many of his works demand a second glance, which brings what is hidden and implied to the surface.
